We will be organizing and presenting the 4th annual VBS-style children’s program for the students of Chifundo School alongside the teachers and staff of the school.

We are looking for people who are:

1. Adaptable

2. Willing to work as a team with leaders, fellow participants, and the Zambian staff of Mercy Ministries

3. Passionate about loving & engaging with children

4. Interested in developing cross-cultural ministry skills

5. Open to God teaching you and causing you to grow as you serve him in a different part of the world

We expect to take 25-30 people on the trip, including leaders. Interest is very high, so we will do interviews to select the team.

For various reasons, including the very difficult travel, we strongly recommend that team members should be at least 12 years of age.

All travelers will need a valid passport, and anyone under the age of 18 must have a U.S. passport and will need to carry additional consent documents.

We are planning for the trip to be 2+ weeks, March 3 to March 18, 2027.

The team will meet regularly through the fall, and then again early in 2027 to learn, develop as a team, and to prepare the VBS program.

We are still working through all the details, but cost per person may be as much as $4,200.

Most participants fundraise to help them cover the cost of the trip.
